Dark grains are composed of Fe- and Mn-Oxyhydroxides and organic material. Light grains are limestone.
Samples have been taken 1991. About half of the 137Cs activity is from Chernobyl fallout,
the rest from atmospheric bomb tests in the 60s and the 70s.
